Ms. Tami Johns
Volunteer Coordinator
Tami Johns is an Army Veteran who served as an Environmental Health Specialist at Fort Sam Houston and Fort Hood, TX. After her service, Tami pursued a career in Human Resources, specializing in Organization and Leadership Development, Talent Management and Quality Control.

She has held leadership positions with companies such as MetLife and Nationwide Insurance Companies, General Physics and Compuware. In addition, Tami was CEO and Owner of MTEX Consulting, which focused on improving individual and organizational performance for companies including General Motors Corporation.
Education
Tami has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Human Resource Development from Oakland University, a Masters in Administration from Central Michigan University and a certificate in Executive Education from The Ohio State University. In addition, she is currently pursuing a Masters/Doctorate in Metaphysics. Her board experience includes serving as a director for Campfire Girls and Unity Church.
Retirement
In retirement, Tami enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, painting, photography and writing short stories and poetry. She is a published author of a collection of short stories based on her life experiences. Tami loves dogs and has a standard poodle named Jasper.
